Software retrieval (Software via framework, volume license, campus and country contracts available in ZIH software list)

The TU Dresden strives to acquire software at favorable prices by bundling licenses and concluding framework, volume licensing, campus and state contracts. For these products, ZIH centrally takes care of the contractual matters with the respective companies as well as license renewals and provision of the software/updates. These license agreements are usually pre-financed by ZIH. The license fees are allocated to the structural units according to the scope of use via service charging.

You will receive support for software orders, license management and renewal. You can also get advice on these topics. In addition, we provide free licenses for, among others

  • Microsoft products from the state contract (Windows, Office 365)
  • Antivirus programs (Sophos)
  • File encryption (BoxCryptor)
