Shared NFS and CIFS storage (Shared storage space)

Storage space for the data storage of jointly edited data. These drives correspond in their properties to the central home directories with the following extensions

• joint editing of stored data is possible
• quotas up to 100 TB are possible
• data protection class "very high" is possible with suitable additions
• the access rights can be managed by the workgroups themselves
• connection to own Windows subdomains is possible

Workgroups of the TU Dresden can request the provision of group drives for projects or shared file storage via the self-service portal. They are provided as network drives for Windows, Apple Mac and Linux via Samba/CIFS or NFS. Access to the drives is only possible in the campus network.
