Software sharing (license service) (Shared network or group licenses)

In addition to single-user licenses for software, there are often lower-cost network licenses that allow the software to be used by a group of people. The licenses are issued to the users by a license server administered by the ZIH on the basis of network addresses (areas). License requests are centrally collected, purchased, and the licenses are made available.
